Who we are
A husband-and-wife shop with one crew that does the work
Michael Sperling was born in San Clemente and raised in Grass Valley. He started roofing in 2000, and during the 2006 recession moved into commercial work in Sacramento as a foreman and project manager, running high-end projects on military bases including Miramar and Camp Pendleton.
He founded 5 Star Roofing with one idea: build a company homeowners can trust, where quality work and honest service come standard. Jennifer Sperling runs the office side, so the paperwork, scheduling and warranty registration are handled by the same two people who answer the phone.
The crews are led by Hector and Ricardo Barba, each with over 30 years in roofing. Hector's sons Jonathan and Alexis work alongside them. Same faces, same standard, every job.
